DIY Console Makeover

Bye Bye Farmhouse Grey wash look !

This console was a Homegoods find over three years ago. It was time for a makeover and plus I don’t have patience to suffer through another furniture delay! So, I decided to try re-painting!

The weather has been gloomy here in NoVA this weekend and what better way to spend the rainy afternoon than to listen to a audiobook and repaint some furniture!

Just like any typical Saturday morning, I started off with my Stars and then headed to Lowes to get some paint. (For a console this size, 1 quart will be fine).

I used Sherwin Williams Black Magic! The shade is not too dark. I also changed the knobs to a brushed brass.

The remaining lanterns and plant were what I had at home. It took me around an hour and a half (I did some light sanding).

Overall, I am happy with the look and may now venture into painting my stairway… we will see.
